In LOVE With This Idea!

An old high school friend of mine actually posted this picture on Facebook and I think it's the best idea ever! Just as he and his wife were pronounced husband and wife, a second before their first kiss, Paul took his camera phone out of his pocket and shot a quick snapshot. What a perfect moment to catch a photo. Could any other picture capture so much emotion?

Congratulations Rachel and Dennis!

Rachel and Dennis had jaws on the floor when they invited their guests to the fantastic Montage Hotel in Beverly Hills for their May wedding. The brand new venue is absolutely gorgeous and the settings for the ceremony and reception were truly picture-perfect. Rachel made sure that every single detail was flawless, and it most definitely was. The color scheme was gorgeous and we loved the "his" and "her" flasks that the couple gifted their wedding parties. We also got a kick out of Rachel's idea to get her whole wedding party together for what ended up being a parade down Rodeo Drive. The photos are priceless!

Rachel and Dennis used their special day as a reunion for many of their guests. Rachel and Dennis had travelled extensively throughout their many years of college and made a large number of friends along the way. So this wedding was a wonderful opportunity for the friends to get back together and take large group shots as the "Columbia University" group, the "MIT" group, the "Ohio State" group, and so on. This was also a special opportunity for Rachel and Dennis' families to fly in from China and Korea to celebrate their union together. To honor their families Rachel wore both a Chinese and Korean dress, with Dennis changing into a Korean groom's outfit to join her later in the evening.

These gorgeous photos were taken by David Michael Photography and we were blown away both by how beautiful they look and how quickly David Michael provided them to the couple (and to us.) It's beyond impressive and what a blast they were to work with.

It was such a pleasure to bring this wedding to life with Rachel and I will miss our delicious planning lunches at Jack n' Jills in Beverly Hills. All the best to Rachel and Dennis in their new lives together as husband and wife!

Hooray for Jennifer and Joe!

Our lovely bride Jennifer wrote to us after she returned from her honeymoon in Kauai and let us know that she and her new husband Joe spoke with a reporter from the LA Times while they were honeymooning after they had been selected by the magazine for an article about how they met called "Strangers On a Train Fall In Love." Their story is absolutely wonderful and it's definitely a must-read. We're so happy that they got to be featured in a newspaper - how exciting! Congratulations to Jennifer and Joe. "It's a Beautiful Life" Engagement Session

Our lovely couple Fei and Xin spent a blissful spring afternoon with their photographer Laura Goldenberger at Malibu Creek State Park. The weather was perfect, the outfits were adorable, the setting was surreal, the photography was gorgeous, and in case it couldn't get any better a deer came out of NOWHERE and joined them for a few shots. How can anything be more perfect?

I love the beautiful origami cranes and hearts that Laura created for the shoot to add a bit of cuteness and color to the afternoon picnic. They are especially perfect because Fei is such a creative bride with a love of all things DIY. So far it's been lovely working with her because every time Fei creates another beautiful craft to be displayed at her wedding she emails a photo over to us (and Fei's quite the photographer herself). She's certainly made checking emails a lot more fun for us :)

Thanks for sharing these pictures Fei. We are so happy for you and Xin and we absolutely can't wait for your wedding. With a crafter as creative as you are and a photographer as talented as Laura to capture the photos we know it's going to be one beautiful day!
