Congratulations Kristen and Kevin!

Oh what can we say about Kristen and Kevin.... how about we just call them the cutest couple ever?! Don't they just look like cake toppers? They're just so adorable next to each other and so blissfully in love. Let's start from the beginning. When I met Kristen and Kevin for our initial consultation, it was very much a family affair. Right from the start, they were accompanied by Kristen's wonderful parents Rosa and Don. As the introductions took place, Kristen pointed in her father's direction and said "this is George Banks." If you've seen the movie Father of the Bride you'll understand the reference. I certainly did because I've seen that movie about a million and a half times. Anyway, I completely understood what she meant - he was the dad that envisioned a small wedding in their backyard with checkered tablecloths and him manning the bbq, flipping burgers and passing them out to their friends in sandals and Hawaiian shirts. Well, maybe the vision wasn't quite like that but you get the drift. Kristen and her mom Rosa had a VERY different idea in mind and Kevin (one of the most supportive grooms we've ever met) just wanted Kristen to have the wedding of her dreams. He obviously would have followed her to the moon. Well, sufficed to say I was hooked. They were just the nicest people and such a tight family so I knew from the start I wanted to be involved. Fortunately, I had the privelege of being their Coordinator and oh my gosh was it a blast!
Though Kristen and Kevin were originally talking about a Malibu Estate wedding with ocean views and sea air, I played a hunch and referred them to The Skirball Center. Surprising enough I was right and they booked right away. We planned together for about a year and every meeting was even more fun than the last. Kristen and Kevin really wanted their guests to have an experience. So they brought in an absolutely incredible 12 piece band (Rembrandt Band) who could sing anything from Stevie Wonder, to Beyonce, to The Black Eyed Peas. They also brought in cigar rollers which was definitely a highlight of the evening among their almost 300 guests. Kristen was also really into the little details that would make her guests feel special and appreciated. She and Rosa created the most thorough toilettries baskets we've ever seen for each of the restrooms and when the valet pulled up with their guests' cars at the end of the night, they were surprised to find bottles of water in their cupholders with a thank you message from Kristen and Kevin on the label.
Guests danced the night away and had THE BEST time. And even amongst all the fun and craziness Kristen and Kevin never missed an opportunity to get lost in a moment all their own, and stand together staring deep into each other's eyes as if they were the only two people in the room. Catching them in these moments was so wonderful to witness and they were captured fantastically by the incomparable Heidi Ryder Photography. I will miss Kristen, Kevin, Rosa, and George Banks SO much and I'm so grateful that they've promised to keep in touch. I will absolutely hold them to that! Thank you so much for the memories you two and congratulations on an unforgettable wedding! I wish you two all the happiness in the world!
