Friday, December 23, 2011 at 5:40PM You'd have to search high & low to find a couple more chill than Ruth and Howard. From the moment I met this awesome couple they knew exactly what they wanted for their special day. They already had their venue - The historic Castle Green (down the street from us in Pasadena) and they knew they wanted a relaxing afternoon/evening with good food, good friends, lots of personal touches, and a day they could fully be engaged in by relaxing and celebrating every moment. I'm pleased to report that's just what they did.
We provided Month Of coordination and at our planning meeting Ruth had all her details figured out and ready to go. She found gorgeous mugs at Anthropologie which matched her decor perfectly and opted for fun favors by ordering custom-made chapsticks for her guests. She and Howard did a reveal beforehand and took their wedding party to the nearby and very picturesque Levitt Pavillion for the Performing Arts for some pre-shots. They hung out with their wedding party and thoroughly enjoyed themselves for a few hours before their ceremony began.
We couldn't believe it when Ruth arrived at Castle Green. She caming mozying through the gates, all by herself, dressed head to toe in an absolutely STUNNING wedding dress and greeted us and her other vendors as if it were just a regular Tuesday. Like I said - super chill! Maybe she didn't realize how fantastic she looked or maybe she just doesn't like a fuss but WOW Ruth made a gorgeous bride and we were floored. The evening went off without a hitch and the dance floor was packed the whole time. Every time we looked at Ruth and Howard they were just taking it all in and having the time of their lives. We are so happy to have been a part of this lovely day and it's been such a pleasure getting to know Ruth and Howard. Congratulations you two!

Tuesday, October 11, 2011 at 10:09AM A huge congratulations to Ruby and David on their gorgeous wedding at The Westin Pasadena. Ruby came to us in mid-June saying she wanted to have her wedding this September, on 9/10/11. Obviously we knew that was going to be a challenge since she didn't even have a venue yet but we were totally for it. Ultimately Ruby fell in love with The Westin and while it wasn't available on 9/10/11, it was available just two weeks later. This ended up working out for the best because Ruby is in Graduate School and she ended up having finals on the week of 9/10/11. I guess things happen for a reason :)
Anyway, we worked hard and pulled together one grand affair in only 3 months time. And the wedding was fabulous! Ruby has such fun taste - and a flare for sparkles and feathers. We designed all the stationery, from the wish tree, to the signs, to their programs/itineraries,and their custom monogram. We're quite proud of how it all came together! We also set up a really cute pink and white candy buffet which was definitely a hit with the guests. Ruby was a blast to work with and 3 months just wasn't enough time with her. We are so happy that Ruby and David had the wedding day of their dreams and when I last spoke with Ruby she said she and David were absolutely loving their first weeks of wedded bliss. Friday, October 7, 2011 at 10:46AM What is not to love about this loving and adorable couple Veronica and Aaron? Veronica lit up our office about a year ago when she bounced in with her bubbly personality and her big ideas for her wedding day. Her eyes lit up when she described her navy blue and burnt orange color scheme and we were hooked right away. It has been an absolute pleasure working with Veronica, a lawyer for police officers and her amazing new husband Aaron, a brain surgeon. They complement each other amazingly well and it is obvious by the way they stare into each other's eyes that they just "get" each other and are madly in love. There just aren't enough words in the English language to describe how gorgeous and sparkly Veronica's dress was; all I can say is that jaws dropped. We loved being so involved in the creative process and we had a blast custom-designing their dinner menus, ceremony programs, and bar signage. We wanted to keep the designs formal but infused with a splash of fun. The ceremony was co-officiated by a Rabbi and a Priest, to represent Aaron and Veronica's different faiths. It was perfect that the Rabbi and Priest actually work together often and are good friends. Veronica's Hispanic heritage was also represented by the Mariachi band who came to play for cocktail hour. And how great is the groom's cake Veronica suprised Aaron with? It was a 3-piece cake, a Berkeley hat to represent his school, golf clubs to represent his love of golf, and a brain to represent his profession as a surgeon. It was a wonderful surprise and Aaron (and all the guests) loved it. It was also a fun surprise with the DJ turned out to have gone to high school with Veronica and a few of her bridesmaids. They didn't find out until that day but it was a perfect turn of events. Congratulations to Veronica and Aaron. It was fantastic working with you and I'll especially miss Veronica's wonderful smile in our office for planning meetings. It always made my day!
